Elon Musk isn’t one to shy away from a challenge.
To date, Musk has:
Managed to crack his way into the notoriously tricky automobile industry and made EVs fun again with Tesla
Tried to provide an answer for traffic (through tunnels) via the Boring Company
Begun a long journey to make humans an Interplanetary species with SpaceX
And with his most recent endeavor, xAI, he’s on a mission to "understand the true nature of the universe."
The AI company has assembled an absolute star cast, with folks from OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, and DeepMind, and is advised by the director of the Center for AI Safety, Dan Hendrycks.
But that’s all we get for now. More details will be revealed in a July 14th AMA on Twitter Spaces with Musk and his team. Come prepared with your questions.

Dang, The Verge has some really cool illustrations today
Google has secretly been in build mode, constantly starting, upgrading, and scraping tools and AI projects.
For instance, Google recently ended its “Bubble Characters” project - an AI-powered chatbot for Gen Z that featured “human-like” conversations with digital characters.
On the flip side, Google rebranded its AI-backed note-taking tool, Project Tailwind, as NotebookLM.
“Notebook,” because it’s a note-taking tool (duh), and “LM” because… well, is the project even worthwhile if it doesn’t have AI or LM in its name today?
As a reminder, NotebookLM:
Is a personal AI trained on user data and notes.
Has in-built citations, making it easy to fact-check AI-generated responses.
Helps produce summaries of papers/articles, among other written content.
The tool also promises to keep the data safe, ensuring it is only available to the users and not used to train new AI models.
But despite all this, Google still warns that the model might hallucinate and get information wrong.
Do you think companies will ever stop saying that^ about their AI? Or is it a “Terms and Conditions apply” kinda thing?
💰️ $1 Billion for AI training?
I’ve conservatively watched about 208,906 Instagram Reels to date (I said conservatively, right?). And without fail, I regularly come across videos about how important it is to upskill if you want to stay relevant in the workforce.
With this AI boom, it will soon become essential for everyone to learn how to leverage AI at work. Currently, you can choose to do so through courses (cc. Google, MS) or maybe by going back to school to learn those skills in a classroom setting.
But Indian company Wipro Ltd. has a different plan.
They recently announced a $1 billion initiative to train their 250,000 employees in AI and integrate the technology into all operations and customer solutions.
The company aims to bring together 30,000 employees to implement the technology in internal and external activities while training the workforce to understand AI’s capabilities.
