Three places to start.

They don’t have to come in order. A fund can start internally, a company can come to us directly, or an operating partner can begin with one company.

A portfolio company

One company, one recurring problem.

  • Choosing a recurring operational problem
  • Implementing a bounded change in the company’s tools
  • Training the people who run it
  • Measuring it against a baseline

The company needs its own sponsor, access and agreed scope. An introduction isn’t a commitment to take part.

Across the portfolio

Several companies, coordinated by the fund.

  • Leadership sessions across selected companies
  • Shared training, adapted to each company
  • A pipeline of company projects, each scoped on its own
  • Methods and measures reused where they fit

Each company keeps its own priorities, data permissions and owner. Nothing is pooled.

Work we can help with across a portfolio.

Examples of recurring work in a firm or its companies. Each is scoped to the company that owns it.

How it starts

  1. Agree the objective

The work to improve, the owner and a baseline to measure against.

  2. Prove a first change

A useful, bounded change, tested on real work.

  3. Implement and train

In the company’s own tools, with the people who run it.

  4. Set ownership and review

Who owns it, how progress is reviewed, and how further work is approved.

Ways to work with us

Questions

Do you work with the firm or the companies?

Both. The firm can buy work for itself, sponsor work in a company, or coordinate several. Each engagement has its own scope and owner.

Do you do due diligence?

We don’t make investment decisions or underwrite deals. Inside the firm, we improve the work around them: finding what the firm already knows across documents and past deals, and preparing research and meeting briefs, with sources.

How do you handle confidential information?

Access is part of each engagement’s agreed scope. Each company keeps its own data permissions and owner, and nothing is pooled across portfolio companies.

Do portfolio companies have to take part?

No. An introduction isn’t a commitment to take part. A company that does take part needs its own sponsor, access and agreed scope.

Who owns what you build?

The work is scoped to the company that owns it. Setting ownership is part of how it starts: who owns it, how progress is reviewed, and how further work is approved.
